Last year I got admissions in a B.tech  college. That is a very reputed institute which have 6 thousands seats for students. I was staying in hostel and our college have many events and meets and participate in almost all activities along with studies, so we have lot of tour and travel opportunities. And there was also a rule for first year students as they were fresh in the college they didn't experienced such activities, tours and participation so they had  to do the tours along with a 4th year senior and each first year student should be in a team with one 4th year student so basically there were pairs of two (one first years and one 4th year) and the senior could be girl or boy there were no limitation in group of girl and boy.
